Refund & Cancellation Policy

Welcome to Tickets Terminal™.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms governing cancellations, modifications, refunds, no-show situations, schedule changes, and related matters for bookings made through Tickets Terminal.

By making a booking through Tickets Terminal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Role of Tickets Terminal

Tickets Terminal acts solely as an intermediary between customers and travel suppliers.

Refunds, cancellations, schedule changes, baggage rules, and fare conditions are primarily governed by the respective airline or travel supplier.

2. Airline Fare Rules

Each airline publishes its own fare rules.

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • Fare Type
  • Airline Policy
  • Route
  • Country Regulations
  • Promotional Restrictions
  • Booking Class
  • Time Remaining Before Departure

Certain promotional, discounted, special fare, or corporate tickets may be wholly or partially non-refundable.

Customers are encouraged to review the applicable fare conditions before completing payment.

3. Flight Ticket Cancellation

Passengers may request cancellation through:

  • Tickets Terminal Website
  • Customer Support
  • Email
  • Airline (where permitted)

Cancellation charges may include:

  • Airline Cancellation Fee
  • Fare Difference (where applicable)
  • Airport Charges
  • Supplier Service Charges
  • Tickets Terminal Convenience/Service Fee (where disclosed)
  • Government Taxes (where non-refundable under applicable rules)

4. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • Airline Fare Rules
  • Time of Cancellation
  • Ticket Type
  • No-Show Status
  • Promotional Restrictions

Refunds may be:

  • ✅ Fully Refundable
  • ⚠️ Partially Refundable
  • ❌ Non-Refundable

Where the airfare itself is non-refundable, statutory taxes, airport charges, and government levies may still be refundable where required under applicable regulations and airline policy.

DGCA requires airlines to refund applicable statutory taxes and certain airport fees even when the base fare is non-refundable, subject to applicable rules.

5. DGCA Passenger Rights (Applicable to Indian Carriers)

Where applicable under DGCA regulations:

  • Cancellation charges must be clearly disclosed before booking.
  • Refund processing charges should not be imposed solely for processing a refund.
  • Refunds remain subject to the airline's published fare conditions.
  • Statutory taxes and applicable airport charges are refundable where required by law.
  • Tickets booked through travel agents or OTAs remain the responsibility of the airline for refunds, although Tickets Terminal will assist customers throughout the process.

6. 48-Hour Booking Review ("Look-In") Option

For bookings made directly with an airline, certain DGCA rules provide a limited "Look-In" period allowing cancellation or amendment without additional cancellation charges (except any fare difference), subject to the airline's policies and applicable regulations.

This facility is not automatically available for every OTA booking and depends on the airline's implementation.

7. Refund Processing Time

Once Tickets Terminal receives the refund from the airline or travel supplier, the amount will be processed to the customer's original payment method without unreasonable delay.

Indicative Timelines

  • 💳 Credit/Debit Card – Subject to banking timelines after processing.
  • 🏦 UPI / Net Banking – Subject to banking timelines.
  • 👛 Wallet Payments – Subject to wallet provider timelines.

Actual refund timing depends upon:

  • Airline Processing
  • Payment Gateway
  • Banking Network
  • Card Issuer
  • Government Holidays

Where DGCA regulations prescribe airline refund timelines, those obligations apply to the airline.

8. Schedule Changes by Airline

If an airline changes:

  • Flight Timings
  • Flight Number
  • Departure Airport
  • Arrival Airport
  • Operating Carrier

Passengers may be entitled to:

  • Acceptance of the revised itinerary
  • Rebooking (subject to airline policy)
  • Refund (where permitted under airline rules and applicable law)

Tickets Terminal will assist customers in communicating with the airline but cannot independently override airline decisions.

9. Flight Cancellation by Airline

If the airline cancels a flight, passenger entitlements are determined by the airline's policy and applicable regulations.

Depending on the circumstances, passengers may receive:

  • Full Refund
  • Alternate Flight
  • Other Remedies Required by Law

For Indian carriers, DGCA passenger rights may require an alternate flight or refund where applicable.

10. No-Show Policy

If a passenger fails to report for check-in or boarding within the airline's prescribed timelines, the booking may be treated as a "No-Show."

No-show tickets are generally subject to the airline's fare rules and may:

  • Attract Additional Charges
  • Result in Loss of Ticket Value

11. Partially Used Tickets

Refunds for partially used tickets are governed exclusively by the airline's fare rules.

Some tickets may have no remaining refund value after the first sector has been flown.

12. Name Corrections

Name corrections are subject to airline policy.

Some airlines allow:

  • Minor Name Corrections
  • Corrections within specified time limits

Others may require cancellation and rebooking.

Passengers must ensure names exactly match the government-issued ID or passport used for travel.

13. Visa Rejection

Visa fees, embassy charges, and service fees are generally non-refundable once processing has begun, unless otherwise stated.

Tickets Terminal is not responsible for losses arising from:

  • Visa Refusals
  • Embassy Delays
  • Immigration Decisions

14. Hotel, Bus & Holiday Package Refunds

Refunds for:

  • Hotels
  • Bus Bookings
  • Holiday Packages
  • Travel Insurance
  • Ancillary Services

are governed by the cancellation policy of the respective supplier.

Different suppliers may have different cancellation deadlines and refund conditions.

15. Force Majeure

Tickets Terminal shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, losses, or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • Natural Disasters
  • Severe Weather
  • Pandemics
  • Epidemics
  • Government Restrictions
  • Airport Closures
  • Air Traffic Control Restrictions
  • Civil Unrest
  • War
  • Terrorist Incidents
  • Labour Strikes
  • Technical Failures
  • Cybersecurity Incidents

16. Service Fee

Tickets Terminal may charge a disclosed service or convenience fee for:

  • Booking Assistance
  • Booking Changes
  • Cancellations

Unless otherwise required by law, these fees are generally non-refundable, as they relate to services already performed.

17. Refund Method

Approved refunds will ordinarily be credited to the original mode of payment used at the time of booking, unless otherwise required by law or agreed by the parties.

18. Fraud Prevention

Tickets Terminal reserves the right to delay, refuse, or cancel refunds where there is reasonable suspicion of:

  • Fraud
  • Unauthorized Payment

  • Arriving within the airline's check-in deadlines.
  • Maintaining valid travel documents and visas.

Tickets Terminal shall not be liable for:

  • Airline Operational Decisions
  • Flight Delays
  • Flight Cancellations
  • Schedule Changes
  • Denied Boarding
  • Immigration Decisions
  • Visa Refusals
  • Losses Resulting from Supplier Defaults

except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Refund & Cancellation Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
